Student samples and projects.

Mono-cromatic Painting

Students draw Michelangelo sculptures and paint showing a full value scale of lights and darks within one color.

Negative Space Drawing

Negative space drawings are created by observing the shapes and space around objects in order to draw objects porportionately.  Students fill the negative space to create the illusion that it is now positive space.

ContourDrawing

Contour are drawings using only line. Students observe their own hands and hold several objects to draw from.  They are given marker and may not erase.  This teaches them to slow down the drawing process and really observe the line in from of them.
